Conclusion

The principle objective of this paper was to introduce the idea of proper Interval Locality where in space-time we can regard quantum events as being local if they are separated by a zero proper interval path. At quantum level causality is governed by Proper Interval Locality. Proper Interval Locality thus governs every thing that goes on around us and at some time inevitably must become a foundation stone of our understanding of the physical world.

We have demonstrated how light is associated with the exchange of energy between charged quantum systems via zero interval paths.

Using the new interpretation we have explained how light passes through small holes, double slits and Aspect’s apparatus. These problems were chosen because they demonstrate, uncertainty, interference and entanglement, phenomenon that seem most at odds with relativity. The paper has demonstrated that the new interpretation removes any inconsistency existing between the experiments and the mathematics of special relativity. The speed of light remains constant, the laws of physics are the same for all reference frames, no physical object or signal exceeds the speed of light but proper interval locality still delivers a theory that is consistent with the observations made on the above experimental situations.

In devising the relationship between relativity and quantum mechanics, seemingly nature is so economical and elegant that its simplicity has been all but invisible to us.

I hope this paper has demonstrated the fundamental importance of proper interval locality in developing a general theory of how the physical world works.

The inconsistency evident between quantum mechanics and relativity has represented an absolute barrier between us and true understanding.

Now this barrier is gone.
